Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) MPA Nazir Chohan, who was reserved by police on the protest of prime minister’s helper Shahzad Akbar, was captured from the workplace of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday, police said. Police authorities disclosed to PakistanIssues that Chohan had gone to visit the LDA chief general and police captured him from the workplace in the wake of following his area.

Chohan was moved to the Racecourse police headquarters where the grumbling was enlisted for examination, police said, adding that he would later be moved to a cell of the cyber crime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Chohan was subsequently introduced in a local court. As per the request, a duplicate of which is accessible with PakistanIssues, the court saw that the MPA’s “claimed offenses are bailable in nature.”

In this manner, Chohan ought to be delivered on bail on the off chance that he submitted bail obligations of Rs100,000 with one local guarantee as per the general inclination of the court, it states.

In the event that Chohan didn’t submit bail bonds and the local guarantee, he would be shipped off legal lockup and would be introduced in the court again on August 10 alongside a report under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure which requires the police to submit challan in criminal cases inside about fourteen days.

FIR Against Chohan

A first information report (FIR) had been enlisted against Chohan, who is important for the PTI’s antagonized Jahangir Khan Tareen group, on the grumbling of Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior and Accountability Mirza Shahzad Akbar in May. Akbar blamed Chohan for making charges concerning the previous’ strict convictions during an appearance on a TV slot, adding that these statements had put his life in danger.

The FIR was enlisted under segments 506 (discipline for criminal terrorizing), 189 (danger of injury to the public worker), 298 (offering expressions with deliberate purpose to wound strict sentiments), and 153 (inciting to cause revolt) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
